Dear editor,
I would like to thank the members of the Allendale Women’s Club,
especially Cheryll Vellek, on behalf of the residents of the Orchard
Commons Community. The club has created the SHARE (Special Housing for
Allendale Enrichment) program to benefit the developmentally disabled
residents of this community.
The program provides many recreational opportunities for the Orchard
Commons and Robert’s House residents, such as a monthly game night, a
walking club that meets twice weekly, and has recently begun field
trips and outings. All the women who rotationally host game night in
our Community Room are truly special; giving their time and talent to
better our community. These fun, energetic and caring women deserve
recognition. They are positively changing their community; it is
people like these women who make the world a better place.
